Bachelor of Pharmacy

Having outstanding academic achievement is never aneasy job. However, I believe a well-rounded individual is even more admirable. That is why I joined different organizations
like dance team and Pupils’ Association in my secondary school life. These extra-curricular activities do not only enrich my life, but they also sharpen my time management and communication skills. Thanks to the scholarships that I have been awarded, I could expose myself to various interests so that my potential could be developed to the full. Also, the scholarships have eased the burden of my family and made our life easier. Since I have been getting help from others throughout my journey of studies, I really want to give help to the needy in returns. Being a pharmacist in HK, I can apply my expertise to safeguard patients’ safety because problematic prescriptions from doctors are not rare in HK and patients tend to buy drugs over-the-counter whenever they have got ailment. Thus, pharmacists do have a role in maintaining the well-being of a society! |

Bachelor of Social Science in History
Baptist University of Hong Kong |
One of my dreams is to be a government official. Owing to this, I choose history as my major in the university. It is always said that studying history is useless because it does not guarantee a good career prospect in a market-oriented city. Therefore, my family opposes me studying history. However, studying history is still my first priority. I believe that I could gain lots of experience from
studying history. Through learning history, we could avoid making the same mistakes. Also I could learn the strategies and leadership from those great people.
In fact, In HK, there are many social problems such as poverty and I have been planning my career which is related to serving the poor who live hopelessly. Government officials are
in good position to serve people directly. Therefore I hope all of us show more concern on this kind of people and help them to have a better living condition. |

Bachelor of Chinese Language and
Literature
The Open University of Hong Kong |
Since my childhood, I always think of becoming a member of the police force with the hope to help people and prevent tragedies. And I fulfill my goal through tertiary education.
Although asking the degree of reading Chinese language and literature in university seems to be irrelevant to my
future work. However, I believe that this course can train up my language skill, especially Mandarin. Moreover, university education gives me various exposures and can provide the
opportunities for meeting people from different background.
Not only just working hard on my studies, but also spend time on playing some sports so that I can maintain my body fitness and meet the requirement of this job. Police duties are full of difficulties but now I can say that I am ready to take the challenge. |

utilize what I have leant to organize some charity activities in order to raise funds for helping the poor.
I live with my father only when I was child. In the latter part of his life, I can see that he needed to be helped due
to degeneration of his body. Therefore, I think that the other elderly may have the same problem and they are required the
others to help them day-to-day. I will spend my time to help them through the activities organized by charity organizations. |

Professional Accountancy
The Chinese University of Hong Kong |
Accountant has a very professional image and is highly respected by the society. However, these are still not the
main reasons for my wanting to be an accountant. I think being an accountant can greatly reward the society which
I think is of great importance in my life. I have received a lot of help from numerous charity organizations, so I think I have the duty to serve the community. Accountant helps people with their problems about taxes and gives advice to the companies about their future plan. In my opinion, this job is very meaningful as I will be helping people to solve their problems every day and at the same time applying my
knowledge learnt in the university courses. It is perfect if I can work for any charity organizations or the charity department of any companies. |

Medicine MBChB Programme
The Chinese University of Hong Kong |
When I was small, I often suffered from different illnesses. Fortunately, I met a good doctor who changed my life
completely. What he gave me are a sense of affection and an impression of professional. I wish I could imitate him and give caring to patients. On the 12th May, 2008, Sichuan Earthquake occurred. Watching the dead and injured, I felt painful to the victims, but I could do nothing. I cried and craved the God for the ability of saving life. Until now, this craving has never died out. I believe I belong to the group of doctor and the poor people who need my help. Studying medicine is definitely tough.
But with the heart to save life, I believe I can overcome all hardship in the future and contribute to our society. |

| Never have I thought about what would I become when I grew up. Until I become a student of university, I understand what I want gradually. Being one of the members of this community, it is a must for all of us to do something for Hong Kong, our lovely home. Therefore, I want to become a teacher in order to teach the next generation the knowledge I have. It should be shared with all people but not only stored in particular one‘s mind. I know the effort I make is negligible; however, I believe when everybody insist on the same belief, our power is the greatest! |

BSSc in Geography and Resource Management
The Chinese University of Hong Kong |
I always think that it is wonderful to live in our beautiful planet. So my goal in life is to let people to know more about its
beauty, then to appreciate and conserve it more. Hence, I chose Geography and Resource Management as my major, hoping that I will be able to understand more about our planet and also to make better use of our precious resource in the future. When confronting the issue of environmental conservation, the power of each individual may seems to be very insignificant, but when more people can work together, that can make a difference. Therefore, despite of the small power that I possess, I will try to
participate as much as I can and to get more people involved in protecting our unique planet. |
